The ride

~9 to 12 stages. One big day.

Three trail systems. About 3 or 4 stages on each — so roughly 9 to 12 stages total. Expect a lot of climbing and a lot of downhill. This is a long day of riding. Self-timed. Self-sufficient. Date TBD — Fall 2026.

Chaparral, granite, and ribbons of singletrack that locals protect like a secret handshake. Trans San Marcos links the systems riders already whisper about — the ones that reward flow, fitness, and a little nerve.

No early course map. No circus. Just the real network, timed your way.

Modes

How you ride.

Same stages. Different rules. Pick your mode.

XC Mode

Ups and downs timed. The full effort, clocked end to end.

Enduro Mode

Only the downs are timed. Climb to race the descents.

Shuttle Mode

Get to each stage however you want — pedal, e-bike, or shuttle.

Mix It Up

No fixed mode. Ride whatever you like and enjoy the day.

Classes

Who you ride with.

Two skill vibes, plus age groups. Pick the one that fits how you ride.

Really Fast

Race pace. Full send. You’re here to put down a real time (self-seeded — no license required).

Not So Fast

Fun pace. Still welcome on the clock — just not hunting podiums all day.

Master

Age 40 and over on race day.

Junior

Under 15 on race day. Parent or guardian must be on board.

The code

Leave it better. Keep it quiet.

This is an invite to enjoy our backyard — not an official race. Trails may be sanctioned or not. Open terrain, other users, and real risk. Ride at your own risk. No whining.

  • Leave no trace. Keep the trails as you found them.
  • Do not dig, cut, blow, or “improve” trails.
  • Respect builders, landowners, and everyone else out there.
  • Do not publicize trails, stages, or GPS tracks if it’s not allowed — including social media.
  • Race fair. No shortcuts. Own your day.
  • You ride at your own risk. No whining. Full stop.
